Two Countries Documentary: the waking of a forgotten generation

Two Countries is a social commentary documentary that aims to portray the events of protest action by the youth of Lesotho and the brutal force exerted on them by the police of Lesotho during and after the march. The documentary unpacks some of the grievances the youth had, mainly; the high rate of youth unemployment, the national tertiary bursary scheme (NMDS), and LGBTQ+ rights. The documentary gathers views and opinions from the youth and elderly as well as a member of parliament. The documentary looks at a few other issues that may be the cause of the friction between the youth and government. It identifies issues around cultural respect and how the country of Lesotho has regressed from once being an economic phenom in Africa during the pre-2000s.
