Hi, this is my "second" 12 string guitar. I've had a fair few since, I guess, the eighties and had a procession of Yamahas - those ones with rather pretty slotted headstocks, which I'd buy cheap and play until the necks resemble bananas and sell 'em on and get another. At one time I had a Del' Arte replica of Leadbelly's baritone 12 string Stella, it was the worst guitar to get in tune ever! Despite my lovely Martin 12 string, this one came up on ebay and I took a risk on it and despite some issues, it played pretty well, as the neck had been reset. I really enjoy playing it. Here's someone else playing one and talking a little about them. /watch/4gtIq1F46mr4I According to the Harmony database they were made between 1963 and 1971. We think this is a 1968 model, on which I have used Martin M190 Bronze strings - 12/12-54-30 tuned down one tone to D-d.
